In recent years Hip Hop has become one of the most influential art forms/lifestyles in the world, giving birth to a new generation of creative minds.  Paul H Francis is one of the new breed destined to be a front runner in the field of urban entertainment. Through his unique knowledge of the ever changing dynamics of street culture, Paul is a cutting edge artist dedicated to making high quality culture specific entertainment.

Paul got his start working for the Graffanimation 2d/3D company C-TRAZE STUDIOS as a storyboard artist, writer and project coordinator. During MTVís Hip Hop week [1999] C-TRAZE produced twenty half hour 2D episodes of STATION ZERO. The show was well received during its three month run commanding an impressive .9 market share on MTV [2-3 million per day].

A VIEW FROM DA UNDERGROUND is another Hip Hop based project that had a large following. It ran as an on going comic strip in THE SOURCE magazine with a monthly readership of 3.1 million. In 2000, Paul took over the writing chores for each episode and supervised the production of the strip. He was also one of the contributing artists to the strip, adding his unique style to the popular series. Characters from A VIEW also made appearances in four commercial spots for various SOURCE tv shows and was incorporated into content for the original launch of the Source.com. 

Urban entertainment.com made history as the first company to sell an internet cartoon [Undercover brother] for a six figure feature film deal. In 2002, C-TRAZE STUDIOS signed a deal with URBAN ENT for the rights to air six to ten episodes of the very successful 3D animated show GROUND ZERO. Originally airing on Centerseat.com receiving 175,000 to 200,000 hits per day. P.aul also wrote production slated treatment episodes for GZ as well as doing the majority of the storyboards for the series.

Nu America years
Next was a three year stint working for Nu America agency [a Harlem based advertising agency founded by Brett Wright and Andre Harrell] as an illustrator /animator. During the summer of 2003 animations [including segments of ìVictoryî web series was aired on Footaction.com along with animated e-mail blast sneaker ads [Saucony]

On the celebrity side Paul created an animated series for Style ambassador Farnsworth Bentley [ìthe adventures of Farnsworth Bentleyî] In 2004 he provided cool kid animation for the celeb packed documentary ìthe power of urban for the pepsi corporation Paul works added a special flava to the agencies list of services.

More magazines
Continuing to put it down on the magazine tip Paul’s Illustrations and original comics appeared in Smooth magazine [just jokes, Smooth operators, places to meet chicks], Mynt magazine [Tha Stoop], and currently F.E.D.S [cartoon ad for the Deceps graphic novel]

The current economy has been referred to as the entertainment economy because of the explosive growth of the cable industry, record box office grosses, video gaming and the internet expansion. P.F, is taking advantage of rapid technological advances to create incredible intellectual properties with the goal of elevating the game to higher standards of excellence.
